Unveiling Loei's Cotton Charm: A Journey of Sustainable Living with Banana Loei

Exploring the charm of the 'city of cotton,' Loei Province, with บานาน่าเลย - Banana Loei.This community-based tourism (CBT) social enterprise works closely with weavers and local people in the Phu Hor subdistrict to promote sustainable living and preserve the beauty of Loei's local ways of life, all guided by the concepts of SIMPLICITY, FREEDOM, and EQUALITY.

A huge thank you to Khun Bum Luckhana Sanbungko, a CEO and founder of Banana Loei, for taking us to learn about traditional cotton production in the Phu Hor subdistrict community. We delved into the roots of ancient cotton seeds and the way of life of the Loei people, who cultivate high-quality cotton thanks to the region's ideal geography and climate. I'm truly impressed by every single step – the excellent raw materials, the meticulous process, and the incredibly good intentions behind it all. The resulting products are exceptional!

As R&D professionals, we believe that "we must research first" before we can "develop." Without understanding the context and origins, we can't create truly functional developments. We need to experience it firsthand – with our eyes, our hearts, and direct experience – to truly grasp our research projects. That's why our projects typically take at least a year, minimum, before we can utilize the analyzed data effectively.

Shorter-term projects (a few months) provide only a preliminary understanding and allow for general recommendations. True understanding comes from detailed study, as mentioned above.

We once questioned our role as a product developer, wondering, "Does the world really need more products?" Now, we have our answer: "The world needs products of a certain quality." And that's what we'll deliver. From now on, we'll be focusing relentlessly on this point: pure product development, nothing else.
